Summer & Lexi

Yesterday was National Dog Day. I was reminded of how many times my own dogs have put a smile on my face or been there to cheer me up. On a day full of celebration & joy for all the doggies in the world, I was reminded of a sweet friend, Summer, who just lost her very own sweet friend earlier this month.

I was contacted toward the end of the year to see if I could take some photos of Summer and her dog, Lexi. Her beautiful old doggie had been diagnosed with cancer & was predicted to only live one more month. I was so honored to have been able to capture some sweet moments between the two. I am a huge dog lover and it broke my heart to think that Lexi had only a short time left to live. Wishing that these photos remind you of how much Lexi loved you, your warm hugs, and your kisses.
