LT + Shelly | wedding

Wow! It is that time of year again. In a little over a month, I will finish up another wedding season. I recently moved to St. Louis and have been commuting back and forth to Illinois quite a lot. This means a lot of time in the car driving and not enough time posting. It has been a crazy busy few months, and I am trying to keep up with all the different aspects of this job. Thanks to all my amazing clients out there who have been patient as I am a little behind on my 'blogging'. However, I will be posting quite a number of new shoots within the next few weeks. WOO....! so make sure you stop back by and check out all the new stuff.

As for LT and Shelly's beautiful wedding....where do I even start! As the rain swirled in to Peoria the morning of their wedding, I cannot lie, I was a little bummed. I sat out in the parking lot of the church for quite some time praying that the rain would die down so that we could get some beautiful pictures.

After their ceremony the rain had died down & the sun was beginning to peek out :). As we started taking photos downtown, a homeless man came up to the bride and groom and asked if they could spare any change. Without hesitation, the groom reached into his pocket and gave him whatever cash he had. ON THEIR WEDDING DAY! I was absolutely blown away by the generosity of this couple as well as the love that they shared for one another. Shelly is one of the sweetest people I have known, and she obviously married someone to mirror her kindness. LT and Shelly both have contagious smiles that never seem to leave their faces. There were several moments during the day that I noticed LT looking at Shelly, completely adoring her joyful presence. These are some of the small things that I see during wedding days that make me realize how special and unique love is for each and every person. It gives me the warm fuzzies :)

I am constantly reminded of how much I value this job at the end of every special wedding day. With the outpouring of love from families, friends, and the bride and groom, I always leave the day feeling blessed. Thanks to everyone for sharing the love on LT and Shelly's wedding day! Enjoy some highlights from their day!
